How to limit the effects of a hangover

Dealing with a hangover can be rough, but there are ways to quickly recover. A good juice is a must have for the morning. Motrin is really good to take for the headache, Pepto Bismol is good for the stomach ache, and a long(I mean LONG) shower is great for everything! Just soak, yes I do mean it! Don't worry on this day about scrub-a-dubbin'! When you get out, you will feel refreshed, you can continue this feeling with a very cold, washcloth on your stomach and head. Leave it there for about an hour or so. You then want to take in SunDrop, Mountain Dew, or something else that is high in caffeine. By now, try to eat light. You may want to start out with a banana, or applesauce then slowly work your way up. Juices and light foods are best becuase the alcohol depletes your system of many vitamins. Caffeine will aid in the headaches and energy. You may still vomit or feel like you have to only to find that nothing comes up(this is called dry heaving). To vomit or dry heave in the morning is not always a bad thing, it helps your body to eliminate those unwanted toxins. Kepping those cold washcloths nearby is a plus. Just remember, for every drink of alcohol it take 2 hours for your body to break it down. Try to avoid niccotine as much as possible as this will increase your sickness.

I heard years ago that if you eat alot of bread beforehand, you will not get a hangover. That is a myth. Yes, it is true that it slows the alcohol in your system, but it's not helping in the ways you prefer it to. There are several myths and there is no real cure. This is only a tried and true relief for the "everlasting" hangover you may get.

I do believe that the best cure is prevention. Get educated, pay close attention to your walk, words, and surroundings while drinking alcohol. Always have a close friend with you, never drink anywhere alone. Remember again the 1 drink for every 2 hours I mentioned above. It doesn't matter what anyone else is saying, you know your body and you are the one who has to take it home for the next day. No man or woman is immune to get a hangover, not even the ones who buy the pills that claim to make them immune. Never, never convince yourself that you are fine to drink and drive. I want to think that the ones who are reading this article will take all of this into consideration and be reading many more articles in the future. Until then; drink slow, love alot, live prosperous!
