Abba , Father,
I come to you with a grateful heart! Again this morning, you have given me grace and mercy for another
day. Last night I was able to lay down , in a cozy bed, and I received the rest that only you can provide. My
worries were given to you to handle throughout the night, and I slept soundly. Thank you Jesus, for your rest
that only you can provide.
Today Jesus, I give you my day. I ask that you search me, and reveal to me the things in my life that
sadden you. Give me a heart of flesh and no longer a heart of stone, Jesus. I repent of my sins and they are
many. My tongue has a tendendency to get me into trouble each day. My thoughts get out of control during
heated arguments and I repent of those things. I ask Jesus, that you help me to control my tongue, help me
to turn those negative thoughts away and not allow them to steal my day. I thank you Jesus, for loving me
even when I am at my worst.
Father, you have been my rock , my shelter from the storms and I thank you. I never realized just how
reassuring it is to be sheltered under your wings. You have taught me to cast my cares upon you, and most
of the time I can. Yes, I still slip up and believe that it should all be in my hands. It is in those moments, that
you remind me of your love. You have a way of bringing the right conversation, or the right person into my
life as a reminder that it is you that controls all things.
As a child, I knew you and believed. Then as a young adult , I turned away from you. I was rebellious and
arrogant, and it was then that you allowed me to become broken. It was a time that you left me in the
wilderness , in order to get my attention. Thank you , Jesus for loving me during that period of my life, for
holding on to me when all I wanted was to let go of you. I am sorry for ever doubting you and for hurting
your heart. I know now more than ever, how it feels when our children turn their backs on our instruction
and love. I never wish to hurt you, and I ask for guidance each moment that you give me.
Your promises are many through out the Bible and I stand firm on each of them. I know that it is not of
my doing that will give me eternal life. It is by the blood you shed at the cross that has saved me and will
give me entrance to you. I pray that someday I will be able to sit at your feet, and hear your word as I feel the
heat of your love shine upon my face. I am your daughter , an heir to your kingdom. I will ask boldly for the
right to be your hands and feet on this earth. With boldness
