After Jesus had finished speaking to a large crowd
of people,he said to his disciples,''Go down to the
boat and cross to the other side of the lake,''they
left him,and he sent the crowds home, when the last
stragglers were gone,he went further up the
mountainside to pray, the day had been long tiring,
he had taught the people, performed miracles, and
fed thousands of people.
He needed some quiet time to talk to his father, when
he finished praying,he went down to the shore, but the
disciple's boat driven by strong winds was already a
long way from the land, very early in the morning,Jesus
went out to them, the disciples saw him walking on the
water and they were terrified,''It must be a ghost!
''one of them cried.''
lam no ghost-lam Jesus,your teacher.''Lord,is it really
you?asked Peter,''if you are real, ask me to walk out
to you''come,Jesus said,so peter climbed out of the boat,
gingerly put his feet in the murky, green water, and soon
he was walking across the waves to the Master!suddenly,
terror seized him,he saw the storm clouds in the sky and
heard the crashing waves, and his faith failed him,he began
to sink,''Lord,save me!''peter shouted,Jesus reached out
his hand to peter and pulled him up out of the water, why
did you doubt?Jesus asked him, they climbed back in the
boat and the water was quiet.

Poetry: Losing faith
by Jacinth Klee
Feeling despair and desolate
On the verge of surrender
Early hopes, wishes and prayers
All come to naught
Such a waste of time
by Edward Earl
I look into the eyes of days gone by,
There is little there but pain;
No substance of hope although I try,
Sunshine
This Time Last Year
Once when I was young, I felt so afraid
I cried myself to sleep as to my God I prayed
But as I grew older,
by Brie
Words flow out of my mouth like gentle rain
Standing on a corner as it pours and yet I've
Got nothing to gain
I'm wondering
I tell you before these words you speak
Never allow satan to make you this weak
As slowly he try's to lift away
What ever salvation
