WAITING.
I know that you're out there somewhere,
The man who is looking for me.
Maybe you're wondering the same things,
Like how long the waiting must be
Until you and I are together.
Until I can see that you're real,
And see in your face and in your eyes,
The echo of all that I feel.
I'm sure that one day you will find me -
I'll look up and see with a start,
That Cupid can keep all his arrows,
For I'm already pierced to the heart.
Cruel Fate has decreed that I love you,
Even with no idea who you are,
And all I can do is imagine
That you're loving me too from afar.
As long as the Earth keeps on turning
You and I will yet breathe the same air.
And the breezes that tch and caress me,
Are the same that sighed round you somewhere.
So all I can do is be constant,
Believing that somewhere you burn
To know whether I'm real or imagined
And the sould mate for whom you still yearn.

Though the Judas Hole
Prison.
Day grows wide-
the cathedral of a stone balloon
an empty leaden lung.
I laugh because it's funny
Night-peace falls short
even with squelched ears.
Medications don't make me slumber
but their side effects are always
by Allyn Smith
A Humble Zephyr
She’s a wandering wind yearning
for the place
Where she might find a cloud in need of a ride
or a tired
Too late the girl to dance
The drummers in silence crouched
Sad, the drums too cold
Of failing to sound the night
And the moon
Yearning
My heart yearns for her smile as reward for clumsy words,
Thoughts so clear suddenly turn to chaos in a loss of time
