When raising kids there didn't seem to be good childcare back in the 70's. The rules were different and there wasn't places to complain to . Did your child get feed? Was he cleaned up after meals or play? Was the child care home a safe place for your child to be? What were the rules ? Do stay at home mothers really stay at home ? I never did. I sewed for clients when my kids were young. They went to fittings, and on material buys. They learned all the different types of fabrics. And the different fittings needed to finish a garment. I drafted patterns from scratch. And each finished garment was a one of a kind. Working out of your home can open doors, to places and homes, that as a stay at home mom, Just at home with the babies and all the housework, You may never see. Have a real skill, use it! Avon, Tubberware and Amway used to give you parties that you could set up. With prizes and treats. The games were always fun and a little wacky. If you like to meet mothers just like you this was the route to go. If you were the mother who was looking for a cause, there was those. As a Home tailor I had connections. Sewing for Wives of politicians, put you on the informed list of what was going on at the Capital. Who was going to Washington D.C.! Not just the fashion in the magazines but what came over from France. Everybody knew that the rich liked to look that way. Did the young actresses hve any input what you might find yourself doing from your home, maybe. Today, there are more opportunities for you to work from your home. Like writing . The best one for this is that, they give you a subject form. Not just leave you out there trying to come up with somthing to write about. Raise 8 kids alone, there is always some activity to get them involved in . Sports for both the boys and girls alike.

Dance classes for the girls. Crafts in the park. Bike rides, boat rides. We had our own 4h.
Raising rabbits. This can really give them something to share with others. And show their tenderheartedness. Stay at home moms stay at home because that is where they find their way to give. An example of this is the day my youngest came home and disappeared for almost an hour. What was he doing? Where was he? Sure had me worried. Well here is the answer, Michael Had found a elder alone siting on her door step. After he heard her story about why she was alone, He felt the need to bring her a small bunny to keep her company. Each day after that he would go check on her. And being a stay at home mom I could help him take care of the elders in his own little way. My other son chose to help them by offering them work done in their yard. My girls helped cook for them and helped them with the chores. My children always gave me reason to be proud that I made the choice to work from home and teach them to share.
