Having done the research, I came to the following conclusions. The initial incidence of sexual activity, as well as the amount of sexual activity is inversely related to IQ. This is not true of very low IQ scores, but begins at about IQ 70. Any further surmise needs to take into account that the incidence and frequency of sex is not limited by age. For example, only 65% of MIT graduate students have had sex. By the age of 19, 80% of US males and 75% of women have lost their virginity, and 87% of college students have had sex. Of those who either have not had sex, or have had little sex, the number is greatest in higher IQ ranges. The relationship between sexual activity and intelligence found across adolescence and young adulthood appears to continue on into adulthood proper, when researched. This is not indicative of choice, however. Some digging, by the website Half Sigma, into the General Social Survey has turned up a number of associations concerning this data. Not only do intelligent people delay the onset of sexual behavior, Half Sigma said they have a lower number of premarital sex partners throughout adulthood (18-39). Half Sigma, also said that intelligence correlates with less sex within marriage for the same age range. Insofar as why this is true, consider the following.

Lower sex drive and anxiety about sex's consequences can't be the whole story . Half Sigma showed that the smartest men in the GSS (approx. IQ >120) were also more likely to visit a prostitute. This may suggest intelligent men are less able to find willing sex partners. Is it that smart men are less attractive to women? HS found that smart men were less likely to be athletic. Unathletic men and women have fewer sex partners. Athletic men, with more willing sexual partners, are less likely to visit a prostitute. Athletic activity gives men more masculine bodies and they are thus more attractive to women. A more masculine physique therefore correlates with an increased number of sex partners.

The study says "Higher intelligence operates as a protective factor against early sexual activity during adolescence, and lower intelligence, to a point, is a risk factor. More systematic investigation of the implications of individual differences in cognitive abilities for sexual activities and of the processes that underlie those activities is warranted." That is not an example of High I Q, because the study fails to take into account several key factors. It does not address the difficulties
