How to get started playing women's football

You will need to be fit to play soccer. You should do some training if you have not been physically active. It is important not to push the body too hard too early. It is of more benefit to do consistent light workouts than one big one. Cycling, swimming and jogging are good activities to increase cardio vascular fitness and strenghthen leg muscles. Sprint training is also beneficial after a level of fitness is attained. These are best done over 20 metres, in sets of 5. Attempting to regulate your breathing while walking back to begin the next sprint is a great simulation of the stop-go nature of soccer.
Get a soccer ball. Kick it everyday with both feet, even if just against a wall for half an hour. When you join a team, do some research and try to find one with a recognised coach that will train you, and then go to training. Good luck
