DESTINATION CANCUN, MEXICO! Planning a vacation can be a stressful task. As the Econonic Crunch continues to press, the promise of "More for Your Money" may be a thing of the past. If you are fortunate enough to afford a vacation, you'll want to be sure that you choose a destination which offers convenience, comfortability, hospitality, safe accomodations and affordable, memorable attractions.

A trip to Cancun, Mexico will meet and possibly exceed these expectations. The breathtaking beauty of the Carribean brings tourists from all over the globe. Cancun was built on the premise that it would become a tourist destination. The resorts which line beaches are 100% built with you in mind. The people who work and live in Cancun are very hospitable; That being said, be sure, before you visit Cancun, that you are well aware of the conversion of dollar to peso.

It is also advisable to brush up on your Spanish before visiting Mexico. Basic words like, please, thank you, hotel, bathroom; are important to know. The people who work in the resorts are helpful and take great pride in sharing their language, so don't be too concerned with being fluent in Spanish.

The food is part of an all inclusive package and most resorts have several restaurants to choose from. All beverages are also included; Which translates to you as - Cocktails on the beach whenever you like-as many as you like. Keep in mind, the drinks may not be quite as potent as you may be used to, grab 2 when you can!

Cancun is more than just beaches and beverages. The shopping is fantastic! The malls are glamourous palaces with marble floors, crystal chandeliers and beautiful fountains. There are lots of clothing botiques, speciality shops. The jewelery stores are guarded by armed Polica; So, don't try anything funny!

Street vendors are plentiful in Cancun. They sell home decor, jewelry, clothing, Mexican art, souveniers, etc. The prices are usually, very resonable. It is customary for the vendors to yell out and try to get your attention. It can be uncomfortable; however, your presence is their only marketing opportunity.

Great shopping can also be found by taking ferry to Isla Meyeres. Visitors may rent a golf cart to traverse the 8-mile span of the island. There are several shops where the ferries bring in tourists; but if you travel a few miles inland, its likely that you'll find great deals
