So you're a Yankee hater, well join the club. It seems everyone these days who is not a New York Yankee fan absolutely hates them. Believe me, I understand why. It hard to watch your favorite player get bought by the Yankee's, or to watch a key free agent you were hoping your team would sign get gobbled up by an insane amount of money from the Yankee's. Here's a quick list of reasons to dislike the team that has the nickname of the Evil Empire.

1. They Buy Championships
Need I say more. They buy the best players from their competition. So they get better by weakening their opponents by throwing around millions like their pennies. It's always a surprise when a big name free agent doesn't go to the Yanks.

2. Arrogance
They've won 26 championships and they act like it. There's a swagger to the team that can easily be portrayed as arrogance. Kind of like their saying, "well we don't like to brag, but we are the best." You all know what I mean and that kind of attitude never flies with American fans.

3. Their Business Like Approach
Baseball is a Game. Many times when you watch the Yankee's they treat is as just another day at the office. Sports should be fun and watching the life get sucked out of America's pastime stinks.

4. The Media Coverage
If you are hoping to watch a highlight of your team on TV or hear it on the radio you know it will be sometime after they talk about the Yankee's. No matter how they do they are always the lead story during the season, and to get to your teams highlights you will have to sit through the Yankee's first.

5. George Steinbrenner
Baseball should be about the team, not the owner. Yet this guy was in the headlines just as much as the team. George may not be the man anymore but having to listen to this guy talk about, it's a championship or it's a failure got old pretty fast. Although you have to admit it was fun watching him make some bad decisions.

6. They Are the Team You Love to Hate!
In the northeast it is common to hear, "I route for 2 teams, team X (whoever they like) and whomever is playing the Yanks." Simply said, you can't explain it you just hate em.

It's pretty easy to hate the Yank's. I probably could have gone on forever, but you really only need one reason. Think of it this way, your favorite team may not make it to the postseason but there is a good chance that the Yankee's will, so you will always have a team to route against.
