Poetry: Stomach cramps

by Danielle Hieronimi

Created on: July 19, 2008

My stomache knots. My tummy turns.
I am so hot I feel I have the burns.
If this goes on much longer, I fear that I may die;
You know it's cruel. Please don't lie.

Animal cruelty is no laughing matter,
Fur is not meant to flatter,
Baby chickens aren't meant for cake batter.

Going vegan is not tough.
The eating is easy, the campaigning is rough.
If you cannot go vegan, try vegetarian instead.
We'll serve you some toast and jam in bed.

Animals deserve rights,
Don't put up fights.
Every living being deserves the gift of life,
Try argueing that without strife.
