All of us ask questions,
Receiving only lies.
We can't differ from angels' key
And demon in disguise.
In turn, we are the answerers
To fated question "Why?"
"That's because I told you so"
Is the usual reply.
All the time we wonder
What will happen next?
Were we supposed to die today?
Are we better than the rest?
As years go by and life grows old
And we begin to wait,
Our children flourish, have their own
And learn to love and hate.
We watch them play their little games
Of power and revenge
And think about how nice it'd be
For a bit of sweet revenge.
It'll take years until the bait
Will trick the brood
The lure of knowledge, the query why?
A little thought for food.
So keep on asking questions
And receiving only lies
The only thing you'll know for certain is that
Birds do roam the skies.

Goodbyes were said but they weren't enough.
You acted with courage but it wasn't
The quizzical little matter, of what we need to learn.
It all begins with just one question, it is a fascinating little
