The importance of music in our lives

The importance of music in our lives.

Well, I don't know about anyone else but I know music is a very important thing to me and my life. Whenever I am in a bad mood, music lifts my spirits. Whenever I am feeling sad music makes me smile. I listen to music while cleaning my house. I find it helps speed the process along. I just turn the music up; grab my broom and cleaning supplies and dance around the room singing as I clean. If anyone was to see me doing this they would think I was a crazy woman or something.

I listened to music at a couple of jobs I had. One job let us wear headphones while we worked. The job was kind of monotonous and boring so the music helped keep us awake and focused on what we were doing so we wouldn't mess any accounts up. The other job was a part time job and the business wasn't well known so there weren't many customers coming in. The radio would again keep me awake and pass the time by so much faster. I think more places of employment should allow their co-workers to listen to music. In my Opinion as long as it's not too loud or interfering in their work or anyone else's I'm all for it.
I have heard that pregnant woman sing to and play music for their babies while they are still pregnant. I don't know if it does anything to affect the babies or not but I would like to think it sparks some kind of good reaction in them.

Music is everywhere, on the TV, in your car, in grocery and retail stores, in your house and at work. There are all kinds and genres. I don't know one person who listens to just one genre of music. My music listening spectrum is so wide, I listen to everything from Hip-Hop, Trip Hop to some Club and House music. I remember as a young teenager, going to my grandma and grandpa's and locking myself in the spare bedroom made for us grandkids with something to drink and the tape player/radio. I would stand in front of the mirror and pretend my hair brush is a microphone and belt out the music blaring from the speakers. I would dress up and tease my hair and Sing all of Madonna's songs. Needless to say I got yelled at a lot to turn down the racket.

Music is all over the TV. Advertisers use music to try to sell everything from cars to fast food. Who can forget the ads for a website named Free Credit Report.com. They guy who is in his blue subcompact car singing, F-R-E-E that spells free Credit Report .Com, baby, or when he is working at the restaurant dressed up as a Pirate. There's even the infamous Madonna Commercial for Pepsi. My personal favorite is the rapping guys that pull up the drive through at Taco Bell. There are many game shows on TV that deal with music. Almost every video game made has some form of music within it. Guitar Hero and Rock Band are a huge example of this. Guitar Hero is my personal favorite were as I haven't played Rock Band. For those who have never heard of this Guitar Hero, you have a plastic guitar with a wammy bar and color coded buttons you push correlating to the colored notes that are played on your TV screen. For every note you get right your Star Power meter goes up and you are awarded points. I don't know if this is anything like playing a real guitar but I find it very fun.

Music is at Proms, Funerals, and Weddings. I have even heard of women who are in going through labor have music playing in the background. Politicians even use music to catch the eye of the voters. My graduating class in High School even had a Class Song.

Music lets a person express themselves. When you find a song that moves you it becomes one of your favorites for all time and you never get tired of hearing it. When I used to play a game online called The Sims Online me and my friends started up our own online radio station so we could listen to the same music at the same time. We each had our one song that we would start our show off with. Depending on what are moods were that was how we set up our shows. If I was happy, I know I would play upbeat songs. If I was in a bad or sad mood I would play slower paced songs.

Music is everywhere and a part of everyone's life.
