Prints surrounding
Singly, doubly
Visually astounding
A snakelike border
Engulfing the space
Lacking any color
Black and white taking place
Faces admire
Feet shuffle
Eyes engaged
Hands idly fumble
Each framed piece
Awakens something inside
These silly pieces of paper

Though he has ceased to be.

A smile, a laugh, a head thrown back in joy.
Your arms around me, my first car behind us.
The dog you used to have which ate
Brown bits of plastic wrapped
around fresh gleaming clearness
Reveal beneath the shiny gloss
Faces of my past.
They smile up
