Always will her eyes of virtue crown the day with love
Always will her song of sadness blunt the birds above
Always will her soul and dreaming lead her forth to paradise
Always will her nights of searching show the sweetness of your lies
And when all time finds her beauty, etched in lines of grey
And dust and dying turmoil attempt to steal her youth away
The fresher cobwebs of June's spring morn
Will hear her melody alive at dawn
And then the world will see her face
Not blighted by shadow but exalted in grace
The captive of the orchid's bloom
Healing the fire and silencing gloom
Only rose petals and blushing embers remain
no more sorrow or eternal pain.
