Do-it-yourself spa treatment tips

great on your ends as a natural conditioner, while mayonnaise can be applied to your whole head, including your scalp. Once you've applied your conditioner, wrap your hair in a towel and climb in the tub!

Spend a few minutes sitting in the bath with your eyes closed, breathing deeply and relaxing. Once your skin has had a chance to soak up some of the water and soften up, it's time to exfoliate.

For a great at-home exfoliator, take one cup of sugar or sea salt and mix it with half a cup of olive oil or body oil. You can squeeze in some lemon juice or mint leaves to enhance the invigorating experience. Use this mixture to gently scrub your entire body; it's more effective to spend a few minutes gently exfoliating each area than to move quickly but scrub harder. If you need an even more energizing scrub, coffee grinds make a terrific, all-natural exfoliator.

Once you're finished, let the tub drain, and use the shower to rinse off and to shampoo your hair. As with any in-tub treatments, make sure you rinse out the tub before any of the products have a chance to dry, and let the water run for a minute or two to avoid drain clogs.

You will emerge from your bathroom relaxed, rejuvenated, and content in the knowledge that you just pampered and treated yourself without spending a single penny!
