My first pregnancy was more or less uneventful, everything went the way it should, up until the delivery. It seems that I should have had some concerns when my doctor insisted on inducing me three times that week, even though I had never dilated or dropped. On the day that I finally delivered, I was induced early in the morning, my doctor, being impatient, broke my water around noon. After around 15 hours of labor, my baby started to show signs of stress and I ended up in the operating room having an emergency cesarean section. The baby was healthy, but I had gone through an entire day with foreign things being introduced into my system. The doctor did not put me on any antibiotics and two days later, while in the hospital, I began to spike a high fever. Rather than putting me on antibiotics, I was told that I had "Mother's Milk Fever." I did not. Two days later, I was being diagnosed with a severe uterine infection. After eight days in the hospital, I went home and continued life as usual.
A year later, my husband and I were excited to discover that we were pregnant again. I went to the doctor early in the pregnancy and a test showed that I was indeed pregnant. She ordered an early ultra-sound because, with my last pregnancy, early on, I had some bleeding, which turned out to be a minor issue. When I had the ultrasound, the technician found no evidence of a pregnancy but, my doctor prescribed Progesterone for me to maintain the pregnancy and, said that I was just too early. For the next several weeks, I continued to work and do everything that I normally did, everything appeared normal.
I was around eight weeks pregnant when I arrived at work that morning. I recall my abdomen being a little swollen and I was excited because I was finally showing. Around an hour after I arrived at work, I started to have cramping and pain. I went to the restroom and did not get any relief. By the time I returned to my office, I was able to call my husband, who was at work, about five minutes away. I told him that I thought I was losing the baby, though I had no bleeding. I then called the doctor's office and told them what was happening and, they instructed me to come to the office, which was about a half-hour away. I was in so much pain that I was curled up on the floor of my office. I informed one of my co-workers that I was leaving and she walked me out to my car. My husband and I carpooled since we worked so close. I do not remember the drive to my husband's office, the pain
