I sit in a dark room,
With a tear in my eye,
For it were you the other day,
Who sat down to cry?
It's because of the words I didn't speak,
But only because they make me so weak.
We went from friends to lovers,
And now back to friends,
But I feel us approaching the end.
I can't no longer love the boy, who stands to resume my best friend,
Neither can I sit here and play pretend.
I know that you care,
And I feel you holding on to me tight,
But it no longer feels right.
You feel my distance and my thin cover,
But what is there left to discover?
We still talk and walk together,
We still claim to love forever,
But I am confused
Because I don't know if you're losing me,
Or if I'm losing you.
