Ethics in the workplace

Can someone use physical beauty to get ahead in life? I can't help but to notice that a lot of times, people who are easy on the eye sort of speak, seem to get more attention in the work place. I believe that if you are smart and are beautiful as well, you pretty much have it made, when it comes to the work place. What do you think? Have you ever notice the pretty secretary getting more attention from the boss, getting treated better by the rest of the co-workers, meanwhile the ugly administrative assistant gets forgotten about? Well, I know looks can only get you so far, but, think about it, If you are outgoing, good looking, and smart, you pretty much have an advantage, you can give a company a better appearance to their customers. Let's say that you have an interview with a company, you walk in and you see the receptionist is over weight, I know you might not think much of it then. On your way to your interviewer's office, you get to see some of the people that work for the company in their cubicles and offices, you notice the majority of the people seem unattractive, unhealthy and overweight. When you make this observation, tell me, doesn't it give a bad impression of this company. If you really think about it, if a person does not take care of their own body, would they take care and give a hundred percent to doing their job and giving their best to the company? I have a friend who is also a co-worker of mine, she is a beautiful girl. I have noticed that she can get away with a lot of things other people have not been able to. She is a pretty, outgoing, and educated girl, and I believe that part, not all, of the reason she is successful, is because of her looks. I consider myself to be an attractive person, I as well have been able to get away with things that other people got in trouble for before, I believe that looks have a lot to do with the success of a person. I'm not saying, by all means, that if a person is considered unattractive, they will not be successful, it is all up to the person. All I'm saying is that if you are a good looking person, you have an advantage. Let me know if you think I am absolutely wrong, but, next time you're at work, just remember what I have mentioned, look at the attractive people and unattractive people at your work place; see if these people are treated differently by their looks. See if they get treated differently by co-workers and customers as well. Take care and thank you very much for reading this!
