Ode to My Bed
Each
Night
I
Sleep
Naked
On your sheets
Full of dreams
You have become part of me
Over time
Bearing witness
To private moments
Of prayer
And sickness;
Of love,
And secrets
Whispered unknowingly
In the night.
A great symbol
Of the known
Unknown:
A flat horizon
Between life
And death,
I return to you
Night
After
Night
In diurnal rhythm
Sliding
Between your sheets
Cocooning
Between night and day
Safely burrowed
In your palm
As you cradle me
In
Soft
Darkness
Till morning comes around.

When eternity ends and I shed this worldly skin to return to You,
Will You Remember my tears that turned oceans

If you ask me or if I want to,
I can cry tonight in exactly the same way
as I cried the night that I lost my father over
by Robert Wolf
The Day Will Come
I hear the love, in your sweet words
I see the love, in your beautiful face,
But it's the love, I want to
by Simply Susan
Ode To A Long Ago Love
I remember a smile standing before me
on the warmest days of May
telling of solemn pledges given blindly
