On the outside
Looking in is a distorted view
Mostly reflections.
Shadowy figures are silent
objects seem cold and lifeless,
without colour,
or form,
or soul.
Standing exposed,
shivers run ...
occasional warmth of the sun,
These sensations more vivid,
clear, and real -
But those places within
are out of reach
The loneliness is tightening
The cold is gripping
my patience is slipping
my contempt is growing
The anger deepening,
On the outside,
