A bruise occurs when a blow or bump breaks the small blood vessels near the skins surface which allows a small amount of blood to leak out into the tissue under the skin. The bruise appears as a black-blue mark that sometimes may also have tiny red dots or splotches in it. You should see a doctor if you have bruises that appear for no reason or if your bruises continue to grow bigger or has increasing pain in it.
You should also see a doctor if you bruise easily and you are experiencing abnormal bleeding because this could indicate a more serious problem like blood-clotting or another blood related disease. The following information is on how to mix and use essential oils to treat bruises.
