Zenbe is the next generation online email client. Zenbe is the one stop place for email, task lists, calendar events, and your online social life.
Zenbe (www.zenbe.com) will be giving gmail and yahoo mail a run for their money. What makes Zenbe stand out is it's ability to integrate and innovate. Zenbe integrates with a sidebar that is alwys next to your inbox or your emails when you are reading them; but it can always be collapsed if you don't want to look at it. The Zenbe sidebar is a quick look at lots of useful things. The Zenbe sidebar contains tabs which allow you to switch between the different views. The sidebar is home to a quick view of your Zenbe calendar, your Zenbe to-do list, your contact list, your Facebook news feed, your Twitter account, and Lastly your Google talk buddy list. Many more sidebar options will be coming out and also the ability to pick and choose which applications will appear on the sidebar, so for example if you don't use twitter then why have it on the sidebar?
The Zenbe Calendar which I mentioned can be quickly viewed on the Zenbe sidebar is a Calendar integrated right into your email which is super convenient. This feature become extremely valuable when you are writing or replying to an email and need to quickly check a date. You can just quickly glance over at your sidebar, you don't need to open another website or program. It's super simple and quick.
When not checking or replying to emails you can see a full large view of your calendar by accessing the Calendar tab at the top of the page. This allows for a more desktop application calendar feel, then the one built into the side bar and is convenient for entering in lots of dates and events.
The task list or to do list that Zenbe created is simple and easy and does exactly what its meant to do; keep track of things you need to do. Tasks lists these days in the web 2.0 era have become so extravagant and so complicated they don't make it any easier for me to keep track of what I am doing, and they end up wasting a lot of my time. Zenbe's to do list is not like this, it is simple and elegant. Its built right into the Zenbe sidebar for easy viewing when checking or writing an email. Email is something I do many times a day so it makes sense to have my to-do list starting at me when ever I log in to check or write emails, its a perfect place to contently remind me and keep me on task to get the things done I need to do.
You can make multiple tasks lists, then quickly type and add things into each lists to keep your tasks organized, and thats it. You can re-order the tasks by simply dragging them and even pick due dates. Once a task is completed you can just click and check them off as you go. Simple and easy, is the name of the game for Zenbe. Also if your lucky enough to have an Iphone you can grab the the Zenbe task lists application and have your tasks on the go with you!
Another innovation from the Zenbe team is the file browser. Zenbe created a built in online file browser that you can use to organize and keep track of any email attachments you have sent or received. You can even view image email attachments online without even having to download them!
Emails and files can both be tagged with the Zenbe tagging system. Taging a message is easy, all you need to do is click the tag button then either just start typing in a new tag or select a tag from your already used tags from an easy list. Also feel free to tag a message with multiple tags for easy finding!
Another new innovation with the Zenbe taging system is the Zenbe tag list on the left sidebar. This is a list off all your tags you have used and you can click on any of them to be brought to all the messages with that tag. But if you have lots of tags the list will get pretty long, and this is where Zenbe gets even more innovative. Firstly the tag list won't get to long that your whole page will get long, it adds a scrollbar just for the tag list. But say there are certain tags you want to easily access, well you can pick tags to pin to the top of the list, for easy and quick viewing of there contents!
Zenpages is another new totally unheard of feature for an online email client. Zenpages are web pages that you can share with anyone on your contacts lists and you can integrate all the Zenbe features such as your Zenbe Calendar, and your Zenbe to-do list. You can even add a discussion box, and third party things such as your flickr photos!
Does Zenbe ever stop innovating? The answer is no, because the next feature is something that nobody els eon the market has. What if you could pre-tag all your messages by giving out different email addresses? Well with Zenbe you can. When you get a Zenbe email address it will look something like this: yourname@zenbe.com. But you can add anything after your name with a + symbol. So for example if you went to Bestbuy the store and they asked you for your email address you could give them yourname+bestbuy@zenbe.com instead of yourname@zenbe.com. This email address will still allow them to email you but every email you receive from that address will be pre-tagged with bestbuy! Now that is innovation!
Zenbe is a beta brand new email client and if this is already everything they have I can not wait to see where they are heading! I have officially turned in my gmail email for Zenbe......but wait no one wants to tell everyone in there contacts lists they changed there email.....this could starts lots and lots of confusion. Well Zenbe has this already figured out and mastered too. You can integrate any of your old email addresses with Zenbe. Any email that gets sent to my gmail account is automatically sent to my Zenbe account too. But if I reply and the sender were to get a reply from a different email address that would confuse them even more right....well Zenbe figured all that out to. If I get an email from gmail and I click reply it will automatically reply from my gmail account and not my Zenbe account. Also when writing a new email I can pick which email account I am sending it from all from within Zenbe! Zenbe truly is the email of the future.
