Finding summer jobs for teens
With the summer holidays underway, there are a lot of teenagers looking for part or full time summers jobs. Some of these teenagers are looking for jobs to fill in the hours of their summer vacations, and to make some money doing it. Some are trying to find jobs to help pay for their back to school cloths and supplies. Others may be looking to make some money to help supplement their parent's income. Some will be looking for jobs just to make some extra money to buy their never ending "wants" that their parents may not be able purchase for them. These teens that "wants" things like IPods, Xboxes, the Burberry cell phones, I hope that is the right word for that phone, I am not too up to date with this type of phone so forgive me if it is not the right word.
Some places in which teenagers may find part or full time employment for the summer is, to have them look for jobs in the food industry. Many fast food restaurants look for extra help in the summer time because their businesses get busier in the summer than at any other time of the year.
Some of the call centers may hire teens to help promote their business. These provide a fairly good income for teens, and the hours are not bad either. If you're teen likes to talk on the phone a lot, this type of job may interest them.
Teen should check out the nearby malls. Most of the stores in the malls may be looking for someone to come in as a cashier, stock person, cleaning, serving the people, etc. There are usually a lot of part time jobs available in the summer time in malls.
Some of the younger teenagers may also find a job in the paper business. I don't mean writing, I mean in the delivering part of the paper. There are lots of jobs available for delivering News Papers, or the Shoppers News in your area.
If you are good with people, either children or older people, try looking into the daycare, or senior centers. Summer time are when people want to get out of the house and go for walks or shopping, and some seniors are not able to get out on their own, and welcome the help of a younger person. Daycare centers fill up during the summer, with the smaller children no longer going to school, and are always looking for another pair of hands to help out.
If you are the outdoor type, check out the resorts in your area. Fishing and hunting resorts may be looking for extra help with the tourists that are heading out for their holidays. These jobs may consist of cooking, cleaning of the cabins, serving in their restaurants, to the more hands on jobs like taking people out on the boats for fishing. They may be looking for someone that is able to lead tourists on hiking trips throughout the area.
There is a demand for teenager whom is looking for work during the summer, and all you have to do is write up your resume, and start handing them out to the places that are of interest to you. The jobs are there, so get out and find one. If the teenagers put their resume's into places they are not interested in working, they will have a job that they do not like, therefore, they will not be happy there, and they usually end up quitting, so it is important to find a job you like doing.
Good Luck to all the teenagers out there.
