Poetry: Crying

by Patricia Watson

Created on: July 17, 2008   Last Updated: February 21, 2009

I am crying tears of ice,

cold and clammy

against a glistening cheek.

I am frigid in my pride,

And I have lost something

frozen in each droplet,

never to find it again.

I am crying salty tears,

That form a river

To the sea.

Each droplet lost,

In a vast expanse

Of indifference.
