I am crying tears of ice,
cold and clammy
against a glistening cheek.
I am frigid in my pride,
And I have lost something
frozen in each droplet,
never to find it again.
I am crying salty tears,
That form a river
To the sea.
Each droplet lost,
In a vast expanse
Of indifference.
