Heaven's Guidance
Evening darkens around us
But we emit light,
Cheeks dabbed with the luminescence
Of newfound love;
Each star twinkles
With millions of years of stories,
Lighting the path
As we stumble along.
Everything is quiet
Save lips, tongues, hands.
The electricity crackles
And tears my soul apart.
One kiss leads to another
Story for Orion to tell-
One breath gasping
For the two hearts beating in unison.
A single light in front of me
As your eyes tell me more
Than I could ever learn
From a million moonless nights.
