Great places to fly fish

Well it really depends on the species you are targeting. For example if you are interested in catching swordfish (a member of the billfish family) then you would have to travel to tropical / warm water areas (though they can also be caught in colder climates) hire a captain and go night fishing for them. Swordfishing is especially good off the florida coast (around the keys up to miami) in the winter.

If however you were interested in catching a large mouth bass then your best bet would be in lakes and rivers in the united states of america or canada though some have been introduced into the river ebro system in spain along with several other lakes and river systems in some of the warmer european areas though they do not reach the same sizes at there american counter parts.

This question is very broad you need to be more specific, but generally if you are fishing for a predatory fish i.e. a large mouth bass or pike then areas that contain shelter and places that ambushes could be set up from e.g. reeds, any type of human structure piers, boat ramps, bridges, gulleys and drop offs are all good places to start. A good idea is ask at your local tackle shop and they will provide you with lots of information
