Fairies
Do They Exist I Ask Myself
As i lay down on the hills one night
Amongst the purple heather
Starring at the stars above
They shimmered and they glittered
Stood out like diamonds
Against the blackness of the sky
Awakened from my dream like state
I heard a noisy surround me
Strangely yet if felt familiar
The wind swirling through my ears
Imagination running wild
It sounded like a lullaby
In trance like state i stand erect
Darkness all round me
When suddenly i see a glow
Illuminating from below
Drawing me ever closer
Standing there in disbelief
I could not comprehend it
Lucky white heather emitting light?
Wake up you must be dreaming
I hear the music playing
Voices sounding like angles
On bended knee I take a peek
Hopping not to make a sound
With stealth like hands I part the heather
Eyes wide, with open mouth
My jaw sat on the ground
I pinch myself not once, but twice
Reassuring that I'm awake
Does my head believe
What my eyes have witness
I must be ill or dreaming
A second glance was called for
There before my very eyes
Fairies, there and dancing
They never seemed to notice me
As they flew from leaf to flower
Happily they sang away
Whilst other kept on dancing
Their pointed ears, some silly beards
Their wings with sliver lining
And faces beamed with smiling
I sat there holding in my breath
Hypnotised, mesmerised, enchanted
I must be the luckiest person in the land
To see the fairies here tonight
All to soon I was awoken
A clashing banging sound
Immediately I turn to see
The direction on which it came from
Trying hard to focus
My eyes in the darkness, i could no see a thing
Shrug of shoulders, big broad smile
I turn to face the fairies
With woeful tears, and heavy heart
The fairies had disappeared
I often think about that night
Question if it really took place
They disappeared without a trace

Poetry: Beyond the obvious
We never know what we want,
Until we lost it,
Now, WE want peace,
Because we can see it,
Truth to be told everyone seek it,
But
My heart, a wasteland.
I'm surrounded.
Wind brushes along the surface of a vast sea of sand.
Looking down, the invisible gust

They
Once Fortified
Topsy, turvy tidbit, lopsided
stopped and cited for contempt
rules cruelly bent, dreams tend
to flow in multiple
I'm reading your eyes with a smudge on their pupils
and a tear to their side.
Well you know;
You can't always hide the half
