Sacrifice Eternity
Don't you dare look back
Keep your eyes ahead.
Long for the future
though today you drag the dead.
I seem to recall the voice of reason here
Singing a lullaby
Sweetly reminding me of past regrets
and that I can't escape the cries.
Deep within me
I struggle to justify
My bloody hands, teary eyes
Deep within me
My angels they battle me;
And there's no place to hide.
Dust off your shoulders
It's time to begin the day.
Breaking your back;
straining your eyes to see the way
I seem to recall the voice of treason here
Coaxing me to testify
Burning me, tongues of fire waging war
for eternity to sacrifice.
Deep within me
I struggle to justify
My bloody hands, teary eyes
Deep within me
My angels they battle me;
And there's no place to hide.
