The ability of the majority to select the future leaders of their Country is the foundation for each and every Democratic form of Government on Earth. As such, the elected people who fill the seats within the offices of the grand and glorious Government buildings of the United States of America are supposed to "Obey, Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America." That also includes the "Bill of Rights" and those "Constitutional Amendments."
Such a sworn oath can also be the basis for impeachment proceedings against any elected politician who is nothing more than bank-rolled by the super rich and a corrupt politician. You better believe that no political system of Government is truly free of political corruption.
Be that as it may, Election Day should most certainly be a celebrated National Holiday of the people and for the people of the United States of America. You see, it's the majority of the citizens of our Country that truly did make our Country as great as it once was.
To highlight the occasion of the exercise of our Constitutional Right to vote various ceremonies and festivities can also take place on the day in which all of the responsible citizens of our Country go the their polling place and cast a vote for the candidates for their choice. No doubt, many more people would vote for the candidate of their choice if they didn't have to go to work.
We can have a wreath laying ceremony for the greatest of our past leaders, and the defenders of our God given Rights and our future safety and well being. We can have a concert celebration for all free thinking people within all freely thinking Democratic societies on Earth. We can also show our support for all of those issues that need to be resolved for the continued good of the majority.
We can also create and broadcast the very first Political Reality Television Program that is designed to raise our spirit of Nationalism and our true love for our Country. Between you and me, it should be called: "Is Your Elected Politician Corrupt?" In so doing, the voting records of each of our currently elected politicians can be examined for the purpose of deciding if the politician in question is truly complying with his or her sworn oath of office. Naturally, that politician will have the opportunity to respond for why he or she voted for or against such proposed legislation that might or might not be the law of the land.
After which, "We Viewers" can either call or text message our decision to either impeach or expel said politician, or praise that person for being a loyal Public Servent of the United States of American who truly does support the wishes of the majority. One way or another, that resulting vote total could very well be transmitted to the political body in question to require that body to adhere to the voice of the majority.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that such a television program would be the highest rate television program of all time. People, World-Wide, would most certainly tune into the unfolding of events that could very well spell the end of yet another corrupt politician.
After which, I wonder how many truly corrupt politicians would simply resign, rather than face the disgrace of being expelled from the Congress of the United States of America or becoming the next impeached President of the United States of America.
It is true enough that the defense of freedom is an ongoing and never ending event. Who will you vote for in 2008? More important, who will you vote out of Public Office in 2008?
