What would be the most dramatic difference, in terms of U.S. foreign policy, between a President John McCain and a President Barack Obama?

The difference between those two men would be and is so glaring, it defies the imagination!

One , Mc Cain, is an older man, whose loyalty to his country, after his self imposed long detention in Viet Nam, needs no longer be explained; he's had many years of experience in the Senate, where he often voted not along party line, but for what he thought was for the benefits of his country... as when he sponsored a bill with Senator Ted Kennedy against the Bush tax cuts. He is also one of the few Senator in Washington that has never attached pork barrels to his bills and he stays clear of all other "perks". He has been reelected time and again in his own state of Arizona where he is respected by members of both parties; Senator Lieberman (a long time Democrat) is his friend, and even now is campaigning for him; and they both recently took a trip to Israel, (the staunchest ally of the U.S.)to reassure their govt of Mc Cain's support for that small and vital and courageous country... the only beacon of democracy in the Middle East.

He has made many trips to Irak to judge first hand the situation there, and thus his judgement about terminating that war, would be based on knowledge and not politics! As George Orwell once wrote: "The quickest way to end a war is to lose it!" The war in Irak may not be popular, but it is necessary; if nothing else, as a bastion against Iran; and Senator Mc Cain understands that. He has taken courageous, often umpopular stands time and again , and he can only be admired for that.

Our next president will need all the courage, and the integrity necessary to guide our country, through the perils that we are facing today; the Muslim Integrist treat being the most dangerous at this time, for if we lose that conflict, everything else, the economy, the oil crisis, the emigrant questions... will pale in comparaison! If nothing else Sept 11th should have taught us that.

As for Senator Obama, aside from his murky background, having first spent two years in a mind numbing Muslim Madrassa school in Indonesia, did not exactly prepare him to run as president of the U.S..Especially in view of the fact that he thinks we have have 58 States! his many faux pas (as well as that of his wife Michelle,) are too numerous to mention here; except to add that his very liberal records in Illinois and Washington are there for all to see, and judge and compare against that of Senator Mc Cain! Time and again his past has come to haunt him, his visit to kenya and the wearing of Muslim garb while there..added to Rev Wright and his "Damn America!" (a man to whom Obama dedicated his book )... to his associations with various anti American characters, such as the unrepentant terrrorist Bill Ayers amongts others.
The best thing that can be said for this man is that he really is the "Teflon" candidate! nothing seem to stick to him, and if it does, he and his minions are quick to remove it. Most of the liberal press seem infatuated with him as they seem obsessed as attacking Senator Mc Cain on all fronts... but time will tell, I only pray it is not too late by then.

The choice is simple really, for as Leonardo da Vinci said: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."
