you're driving under the influence, you should be arrested, no matter what you're on. However there should be no difference in the punishment.
The bottom line is Medical Marijuana is a useful drug for many. Many get no relief from prescription medications and many have allergies to those medications. Are these clients meant to suffer and want to die? I think not.
It's time for the federal government to take a proactive stance on this matter and stop the insanity. If you have comments on this matter go to www.house.gov or www.senate.gov and find your lawmaker and send them an email or a written letter. Calling does no good as they hang up the phone and forget about it. It's time for a change in America.
On another note, a pack of cigarettes (much more dangerous than marijuana) costs about 5$ for 20 cigarettes. It would cost less to grow marijuana as it is a weed that can survive in most climates. So lets say the cost to make 20 marijuana cigarettes is $2.00. Most medical users wouldn't blink an eye at paying $40 for that 20 pack of pre-rolled joints as it is much cheaper than the pot stores or on the street. So a 38$ tax on marijuana packets of cigarettes would be easy to obtain. That alone could wipe out the federal deficit in less than a week.
Amsterdam has legalized small amounts of marijuana for medical or recreational usage, yet the number of pot smokers is minimal compared to the USA. When it's legal, it's just not so appealing.
Write your lawmakers and demand a change in these laws today. After all the costs of keeping people in jail is in the thousands of dollars each month. Those dollars are paid for by tax payers. This article is not meant to represent that people should legally grow 40 acres of marijuana, but 12-25 plants as stated in most states laws. Taxing this would not only wipe out the deficit, but would also pay for the hardened murderers and other criminals in jails around the country.
It's time for a change and that requires action on the part of every American.
