Count On It
Seeing the stars at night,
Knowing I can sleep tight.
No storms, tornadoes, hail,
Where out of bed bail.
Know the sun will come up,
We can count on that, yup.
Fun in the day or night,
Where no one has to fight.
The safety of our home
Where we are not alone.
Family important,
Joy and love will plant.

Water Envy
Cool moist beads of water drip from my toes
Dropping into the stream
Ripples of silence find the edge of time
And
Lying on the soft green grass
cushion for my body
Gentle like a feather
calming as it caresses my face
breeze sweeping through
I sink into the depths of my armchair.

With legs up,
time to sup,
