The best face mask recipe with avocado

Avocado is an amazing fruit, filled with monounsaturated fats and a variety of vitamins. Not only is it a healthy addition to your diet, it is the basis of many face mask recipes. Avocado moisturizes without affecting sensitive skin. Using it in conjunction with other ingredients can help you design the perfect face mask.

Basic Recipe:

1 avocado
1 teaspoon olive oil

1. Mash together until the consistency becomes even.
2. Massage into skin.
3. Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse face.

This simple face mask will provide deep moisture for dry skin. Both of the ingredients are filled with healthy fats that will nourish your skin and allow your cells some protection.

The best part about the simplicity of this recipe is that you can add other ingredients to it as desired. Depending on your skin and what you have on hand, many different common ingredients can provide excellent additions to your mask.

Aloe vera gel can provide a cooling, moisturizing addition to your facial mask. Storing your aloe vera in the refridgerator can provide a wonderfully relaxing sensation. Just a small amount is necessary as a substitution for the olive oil. If your skin is sunburned or irritated, this is one of the best ingredients to add to your mask.

Bananas are high in B vitamins, potassium, magnesium, and other vitamins and minerals. Adding one half of a banana to your facial mask is great for oily skin that you want to be hydrated and fresh looking. These natural wonders can stand alone as a face mask or be mixed with the avocado to combine their benefits.

Honey is another moisturizing ingredient found in most homes. Adding a quarter cup of honey to the avocado in place of the olive oil is a great substitution.

There are many essential oils available for purchase. Many of them are useful in face masks. Research your skin type to decide which oil would be the best addition to your recipe.

Dry ingredients can also be added to your face mask. Oatmeal is often added to facial masks designed for sensitive skin or acne. It will gently exfoliate without causing irritation. Simply add a quarter cup to the recipe and apply as directed, making sure to massage into your skin.

The best avocado face mask recipe is the one that you create yourself, based on the needs of your skin. By creating a completely unique formula, you can tailor it to what ingredients work best for you. Experiment and find your favorite combinations.
