Rock Star Dreams
Up on stage and under the lights,
Playing my music makes me feel right.
Drums in the background, a guitar in my hand,
Lead singer in a rock n' roll band.
My own lyrics flowing from my lips,
A pink Fender sitting right on my hips.
But there's no guitar in my hand,
And I'm not in front of a rock n' roll band.
Just standing on stage, singing someone else's words,
Belting out rock songs that everyone's heard.
Just a karaoke star
Singing in a bar,
Dreaming up dreams that seem way too far.
