You know who I am
See behind the facade
But if they screamed scam
Would you first trust God?
Would you question the thought
Let it linger or haunt
Or would you rely
That I wouldn't lie?
Do you know that I care
Or in mere second doubt
That I wouldn't take her dare
Go home on her route?
The question isn't easy
It's not simple or even fun
But I'm not that sleazy
When our love hasn't begun
Chin up, don't dare frown
For what I mean, isn't a noun
At that statement, simply smile
Our love is an action, not a trial
It will never be complete
Though we'll work long and hard
More than a monumentous feat
So I'll just play my card...
