In my mind, it is undeniably just to have the death penalty be in reserve for serious cases of offense or dangerous situations. This, of course, raises the question of what a serious offense is. In my opinion, anyone who can not be trusted or has repeatedly caused destructive damage in some way shape or form must be stopped, and even jail for life isn't a sure enough form.
However, stepping away from generalizing about the death penalty, I shall attempt to keep within the realms of the topic at hand.
As far as child offenders in general, they are obviously twisted and sick. If someone, for whatever reason, has desires about small children, then they should be sent through a rehab center and if they still show signs of child perversion, then they ought to be jailed.
The fact they have desires about children doesn't seem to be reason enough to kill them, but acting against them creates a good argument for it. In my opinion, you must start by considering if people who sexually offend others in general ought to be punished and to what extent. For example, should a man who rapes a woman be killed?
After you consider the proper punishment for an adult offender, you ought to increase the punishment for doing the same with a child. Children are so young and impressionable that sexually offending a child will not only scar them for life, but make them a potential hazard. If a small child is sexually offended at such a young age, they may grow up to hate the world and all of it's people, and decide that it is worth it to kill them.
In my opinion, for the safety of humanity, child sex offenders should receive the death punishment if for no other reason then to stop any further offenders. People may call it cruel or inhuman to kill someone as an example, but is it not far more inhuman to sexually offend, scar, or even rape a small, defenseless child?
It is impossible to predict what a confused human will do, for we are the most illogical and senseless beings on the plain of existence. We do things that don't seem normal or have any reason for being done simply because of what happened to them growing up. We will act on our fears and thrust them back out at the world in hate and anger.
This being determined, how hard do you all think it would be to convince a child that it is worthless, and that the rest of the world deserves to be killed, especially if it was sexually abused early on in life? With all of the terrorism in the world today, it would be more then easy for some confused little boy or girl to happen to find out how to, and agree to, destroy as many people as they can before they die
If anyone understands what I am saying here, then you ought to find it an undeniably accurate punishment to kill such offenders. So, I beg you as humans, as brothers and sisters of America to do what must be done.
