How old is too old to wear a mini skirt?

How old is too old to wear a mini skirt?

Is this yet one more way of society telling women what to do?Ladies, you have eyes, you have a mirror, how do you feel when you look at yourself wearing a mini?

Do you have a good body? Good legs?

How do you feel when wearing a mini skirt?

Do you feel beautiful? Attractive? Glamorous? Sexy?
If yes to any of these, keep the mini skirt on.

On the other hand, if you feel uncomfortable, ridiculous, not yourself or feel that this skirt is just plain wrong, take it off.
Clothes are supposed to make you feel good. They are an extension of who you are.

A word of caution though, and this is where a full-length mirror comes in handy.
A mini skirt on anyone who is not a size 7 or less is not really attractive.
If you see fat rolls bulging over the waistband or hips straining at the seams, better to go for a more slimming look.

If your legs, and then especially your thighs, are rather impressive and dimpled with cellulite, better go for a skirt that is a bit longer.
I am not saying that you should wear skirts that skim the floor, or flap halfway down your calves, but for an older or more voluptuous woman, a skirt with a hem just below the knee might be more attractive and classy.

If you are not sure if a certain style of clothes, and particularly a mini skirt, looks good on you, take the skirt for a test drive.
How do others respond to you? Do they compliment you on your figure and legs? Do they compliment you, saying how good and sexy you look?
Or is the reaction rather the reverse?
Do you see frowns on people's faces as they walk by?
Are some people as bold as to shake their head when looking at you?
Or, heaven forbid, are they laughing?

Another way of finding out if the mini skirt look suits you is asking.
But, do not ask the shop assistant, shop assistants have to eat too and they would tell a potential customer a potato sack looks good on her if it brings in commission.

Do not ask a man. Most men have little or no fashion sense, and those who do might be too polite to tell you the truth.

You are better off asking a good friend. If she is really your friend, she will be honest with you and if the mini skirt look is over for you, she will tell you.

When all is said and done though, the ultimate decision is yours.
Do you feel good in a mini skirt?
If you feel that, despite fat rolls, thunder thighs, discomfort, frowns, headshakes, giggles and not quite feeling yourself, you still like to show some leg, then go for it.

Who is the world to judge you?
