"Begin Again"
Tell me how you miss me
Tell me how you pine
For all the years and all the times
We thought once were divine.
Or if you will forget me
And let the gold times go
Away from us and our dead love
There is something I know:
I played your Muse and you for me
Inspiring endless flames
That higher licked and hotter burned
Until our trysts became
A pile of graying ashes,
Wind-blown, cold and stale,
Inspiring heat no longer,
Unbridled passion tamed.
Still I see love written
Within those smoldering eyes
Make them your heart and come to me,
To my desire comply.
