There are many jobs available in the IT industry. From programmers, Multimedia designers, animators, IT securities, forensic investigation and many more.
I feel that one of the best jobs in the market now is to be a specialised.
Currently, being in a job like SAP consultant, is earning big bucks from many companies. I am from Singapore, and even our government sectors and airline, is using SAP.

What is SAP, SAP is enterprise resource software being used by MNCs. It is all rounded system covering expects of finance, sales and distribution, human resources, plant maintenance and other expects of reporting and analysis for your business.
The software is a German base, with many IT programmers and consultants all over the world. Some countries in particular are India, UK and US.
The programming language is ABAP and it seems there are many Indian nationals in the field are ABAPers.
Ok, enough for what the whole system is about, now is why is this job one of the best in the world?
Well a SAP consultant is paid very highly for a new implementation project. Per Man-day work for the consultant ranges from 300USD for junior consultants to thousands of USD for seniors.
Because SAP is expensive and all rounded software, MNCs are wiling to spend the millions of dollars to ensure the implementation to be success. The software in long run will be able to save much more in terms of time, efficiency and paperwork.
SAP consultant are specialised and that's the reason why the pay scale is good.
What is the job of a consultant? Well if we are talking about a functional consultant, for a start, they are just there advising what's the best practise and how to customise the software to the company's need.
Functional consultants do requirement gathering and provides solutions to the customers.
Technical consultants (Abapers) will work according the specifications set by the functional consultants and program the software accordingly.
At every stage of a functional consultant, the pay scale will climb like rocket.
Here in Singapore, there had been consultant who works at about 2500USD per month for the first implementation project, and subsequently earning 5000USD per month for the second project.
SAP project also requires personnel to move around in the world. There are a lot of projects in the states, Europe and Dubai. The companies there are mainly MNCs like oilrigs in Dubai who wanted to use SAP as their company computer system.

As experience is gained, the profile of the consultant grows together
