Sheltered Places
Death and love in sheltered places,
hearts entwined still or racing.
Remembered things, long dead and gone,
words so empty, end this song.
Inwardly dying. Oh God, and the crying
rivers of pain, drive me insane.
The pills on the table
I'm reading the label
fortelling my fate.
The calendar screaming the date.
Never, ever together
no chance of love lasting forever.
Our journey complete, just a heartbeat away,
to the second, minute, hour and day.
Closing my eyes all that I see
is you, sadly smiling at me.

MY PROMISE
Last night I dreamed that I was dead
I dreamed that it was over

You know that hangdog feeling
When life's kicked you in the crutch,

And to breathe
by CanCan
There you are in the mirror again
Looking for hope and even a friend
The blemishes you find that no one else sees
You cry in
A shadow flees through the night
Swift and stealthy
A demon
with glowing red eyes
She stops
in front of a bistro
Moves in,
closing
