Why is it that many avid movie goers were crowding in front of the ticket booth in June 2008? Well, "'cause everybody is kung fu fighting!" This delightfully humorous movie called Kung Fu Panda stars Jack Black, who has won many awards for best acting in the comedy category such as the Blockbuster Entertainment Award, MTV movie award, Peoples' Choice Award, etc., as the asinine Po, Dustin Hoffman as Shifu, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Ian McShane as Tai Lung, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Seth Rogen as Crane, Randall Duk Kim as Oogway, etc. It is directed by Oscar award nominated Mark Osborne and John Stevenson. Po, a cute and chubby Panda that works at a noodle restaurant, dreams about becoming a Kung Fu Master where even the Furious Five revere him. This dream is temporarily squashed as his "father" Mr. Ping starred by James Hong talks to Po about the family history of inheriting the noodle restaurant. Then, Po gets a chance to go to the Jade Palace and see the Dragon Warrior, the famed warrior that can defeat Tai Lung. Tai Lung is the antagonist that is shrouded in the desire for power and the Dragon Scroll. He breaks away from his prison cell, and only the Dragon warrior can defeat him through the knowledge of the Dragon Scroll teachings. Fortunately, Po manages to go to the Palace with his father's, Mr. Ping's, permission only as a noodle vender. Thus, because of his lack of skill for doing physical labor because of both his physical shape and strong love of food, Po strains to climb up the stairs to the Palace, and just as he is there, the door slam shut in his face. With this, the determined and daring panda senselessly tries to get into the Palace. He tries to climb it, use a stick to pole vault into it, pull a tree branch down so far as to fling himself over, but finally he uses fireworks to rock a chair he sits in. At first, the plan fails, but manipulating this fact, the Directors suddenly allow the fireworks to work and create a hilarious scene as Po is shot into the air and lands right into the Palace stadium just as the Dragon Warrior is being chosen. Thus, the Grand Master Oogway coincidentally points to Po and Po is officially crowned Dragon Warrior. This dreamer no longer has to wallow in reveries anymore, he is finally allowed to live this dream, but he easily finds out that Kung Fu training to become the Dragon Warrior is not simple with Furious Five distrusting his ability and teasing him, especially Tigress played by the feisty Tomb Raider actress,
