An update to the blackberry pearl, the blackberry curve delivers all of the same features, only now with a 2.0 MP camera with flash, and WI-FI connection, available through T-Mobile. An owner of this smartphone myself, I bought it about a week ago, after long consideration. One of the features that stand out in the curve is the full QWERTY keyboard, which is great for texting and email. It comes with all of the basics;

Instant messaging, picture messaging, text messaging, and voice notes. It even has a spell checker. The curve's multimedia features include the 2 Megapixel camera, music and video player, and stereo bluetooth connectivity. With its personal information management, you enjoy features such an address book, calendar, sync with PC, and then ability to view E-mail attachments. Its calling features include;
Bluetooth connectivity, photo caller ID, speakerphone, voice dialing, and if you have service through T-Mobile, my faves.

Multimedia Features are;
The 2MP camera, which offers great quality pictures. Unfortunately, it does not have a video recording capability. Another great feature is the music player and video player. The quality of the playback is excellent. There is a SD Card slot for extra memory, as I found that I could not download any music or video without it. So I went out and bought a 2GB SD Card. The video playback is also excellent as well. I was able to download an episode of a full TV show.

The Blackberry curve, is a reasonable size, 2.4" x 4.2" x0.6, it weighs 3.9 oz, not for the user who prefers their mobile device to fit smoothly into their pockets, such as the Motorola RAZR. This is an all in one device, geared toward those who desire to have constant connection with their email accounts and internet connection. Not to say this is a phone strictly for business people. I myself do not have email or internet on my curve, but instead enjoy its multimedia features, specifically, the music and video player. The full QWERTY keyboard has definitely enhanced my texting experience, and even made it faster. Although the keyboard is kind of cramped, and can sometimes make texting difficult. Plus you can download applications such as facebook, when your device is connected to your PC. All in all, this is a great Smartphone, and in my opinion, is as just as good as the IPhone, also considering that the new IPhone 3G model does not have MMS messaging. Definitely a great choice for anyone looking for that all in one device.
