Helium versus Triond: Which is worth your time?

To make money at Helium or at Triond you have to do more than just write and submit, you need to participate at the site, so it is important to decide which will make you most money, for the time and effort you spend on the site.

~ Triond

* You can write and publish an article on just about anything at Triond, but you will not earn much revenue from an article which nobody wants to read.

* The only way to earn money with an article at Triond is to get your article viewed as much as possible, because you get paid a share of the revenue from the adverts which appear on your article pages. The people who earn most at Triond are those who know which topics and type of article are most popular.

* You can spend time a lot of time viewing the various sites where Triond publishes its content. You can comment on the articles you read, and this will encourage other people to visit your articles in return, but there is no guarantee that doing this will bring more traffic to your article pages.

~ Helium

* At Helium you can choose to write and submit articles to any of the channels that interest you. You can join in debates, write under a chosen title, or start your own topic. All your articles will be rated by other Helium members.

* When you have a rating star, your Helium articles earn daily revenue share, depending on how many times they are viewed, and the value of adverts that appear on your article pages.

* With writing stars, you articles qualify for upfront payments in most of the channels.

* You can write and enter articles to Helium writing contests, and receive cash prizes. Your articles are judged and rated by other Helium members. If your articles don't win, you can still earn an ongoing share of advertising revenue from each article you submitted, provided you have at least one rating star.

* You can write and submit articles to the Marketplace, where new assignments are added regularly. If your article is not bought by a publisher, you can still earn daily revenue when it transitions, if you have a rating star. When you have writing stars you also qualify for a "kill fee" for unsold articles.

* You do need to spend time rating at Helium, but it is time well spent. During rating you will learn how to write better articles, by reading and evaluating articles of different quality. You soon see mistakes that you can avoid in your own writing.

Many people write articles for both Triond and Helium, and earn money from each site. If you only have limited time to spend, or want to choose one site, I recommend Helium. Here you have more opportunities to make money in several different ways. Helium is an excellent writing site, where you can learn to improve and develop your writing skills. There is a very helpful community forum. It is well worth your time.
