When beginning a health and fitness membership it should be started with making lifestyle changes in mind.
First you should consult with a trainer or fitness consultant to determine what is best for you, your lifestyle and fitness goals. Then when considering a gym membership always consider your budget, the programs being offered and there availability. Also when signing, always sign on a Friday. Why a Friday? Because under Federal law there is a 3 day buyers right to cancel. That 3 days excludes weekends and holidays. Therefore you will have 5 days to "test drive" the new health club to see if it's right for you.
Once you've begun don't over do it. The gym will be there tomorrow. Nothing comes easy and if you go everyday and exhaust yourself you will become burned out and soon disinterested. Hire a trainer, set realistic goals then make lifestyle changes that will help keep you healthy and alive for many years to come, and keep you returning to the gym.
