In this day and age when there is easy access to a wide variety of contraceptives, there is really no excuse for the contiued practice of abortion except in the rare cases of protecting a womans life. A baby or if you prefer the questionable term fetus can live outside of the mother's womb as early as five months of gestation or lets do it in weeks thats twenty weeks. A woman should really think about whether or not she wants children. Many people think that abortion is a way out of a tough situation, but i think it would prove much harder to lay your head down at night and know you killed your very own offspring. Abortion is not a selfless act, but it is indeed a selfish one. I believe that a woman should be encouraged to choose life, for the little one growing in her womb, it is a part of her. Men should have a sense of pride and also encourage the woman to let the baby have a chance at life. If there are circumstances that prevent the woman from raising the baby, adoption should be considered as there are couples that are longing for the chance to raise a child and for various reasons cant have one of there own. In closing i would like to reiterate that if you want to play then play wisely and use a means of contraceptives that works, dont abort a innocent baby. A society is judged by how we treat the most fragile among us, and babies in the womb hoping for a chance at life are definitely our most fragile bit of the future. Choose Life.
