Using Google Maps

Google Maps - Just about the easiest way to give you top-notch directions. No one likes to search for maps after maps that don't give you the best routes, let alone more than one route. Those expensive, bulky maps you can pick up at your local travel centre or convenience store will only confuse you and possibly cause stress and delay when all you wanted was to get from point A to point B.

Using Google Maps:

1. Easy Point A to Point B directions:
You can find quick and easy directions from point A to point B. All you need is both the starting location and the destination address, or you can input the postal codes only. Both methods are very easy to use and will provide you with the same result!

2. Zoom Feature:
You can zoom in and zoom out on Google Maps using the + and - feaure at the left-hand side of the page. As you will see, Google Maps is convenient for any age group. Ordinary maps often need a magnifying glass to read the names of the streets. Google Maps adjusts to your personal preference with just the click of your mouse.

3. Satellite View:
This is a very nice feature on Google Maps. Here, you are looking at your location and directions in a 3-D perspective. You will be able to see your surroundings, so for example, if the bank you need to go to is in between two skyscrapers, you can look for two skyscrapers with a small building situated in between. You can't see this on ordinary paper maps!

4. Click and Move Feature:
If you need to view the streets in a particular direction, all you need to do is simply click on the map and drag the map into the appropriate direction. You are not limited to the distance you wish to go when you click and move the map to view additional streets and buildings.

5. Printing Maps on Google Maps:
There is no need to highlight regular bulky maps to show your directions. You can simply print the map of your choice on Google Maps using the Print link at the top right-hand side of the page.

6. Send Maps:
You can send a map from Google Maps to either your online mailbox or to anybody else's online mailbox by filling in the e-mail address after clicking on the "Send" link at the top right-hand side of the page.

7. Link Convenience:

If you decide you would like to save your inputted data on Google Maps or add the link to a particular map into a document, all you need to do is click the "Link" link located at the top right-hand side of the page.

So there you have it, a quick and easy broken down guide to using Google Maps. Say Hello to Google Maps and say Goodbye to big, bulky fold-up maps that never seem to fold back up the way they're supposed to.
