The Tree Saved Me
Tools.
For a writer, there are many:
the typewriter, dusty; the pen, inky; the computer, blinky.
Do any provide plenty?
None are like the little round friends before me.
Filled with lead, yet without dread
clothed in wood, they're tools that could
save me.
Which to choose!
Number one? No, it's rarely done.
Number three? No, it's a softy.
Number two? Yes! It's for you.
And for me, the writer.
