Leaving the train
with plans
of travel
and time together,
A kiss on the corner of Market Street
and your promise.
The week passed
and became weeks
full of wondering
questioning
hours replaying those last
moments
and not finding
anywhere in them
a reason
for the silence
your absence
or the unspoken and sudden
abandon.
