So, it's 3 in the morning, and its your sister's birthday. Sure enough, you were out drinking last night and forgot to get her a card, and all the Hallmark stores are closed. You're still not awake enough to be able to come up with anything, and so you think that your relationship with your big sis might be ruined until the end of time.

Has this ever happened to you? Of course it has, it happens to everyone (in some fashion or another). So what do you do? Do you just sit there and let the darkness swallow you up? No, you get up, turn on your computer, and start up your internet browser.

Head off to www.hallmark.com and click the "sign-in" button in the top-right corner of the screen. Assuming you don't have an account already, click the tab that says "Don't have an account? - Create one now." you will be asked for an email address and password (if you do not wish to give away your personal info, create a new one using googles free gmail service).

At the next tab, you will be able to subscribe to exclusive Hallmark offers if you so desire, but feel free to check no' if you'd rather receive any spam.

Finish up by selecting if you wish to be a crown rewards member, unless you already posses such a membership, click the third option. After you submit your information, a sort of welcome screen will be displayed and the upper-right hand corner will be changed to display that you have logged in. in the upper-left corner, select the option that says "Cards & E-cards". A few more tabs will appear underneath the one loarger tab, and you should select the "E-Cards" tab.

Here you will see a variety of categories to select your e-card from, each with a plethora of different cards and sentiments available for you to send to your loved ones. Some of the more commercial cards (e.g. Star Wars or Indiana Jones) will require a small fee, but the majority of cards you ca send absolutely free.

Clicking on a card will give you a demo of what the card will appear like, and if you're satisfied, click the personalize' icon.

Enter the receiver's e-mail address, and advance to the next screen. You can enter custom messages and change colours. When done, click the send button.

Congratulations, you salvaged your relationship with your sister! Also, you can send your card for next year too, but just changing the date. Now you can send all the e-cards you want with your Hallmark account.
