Wait a minute, are we in need of the "Vatican" to approve what is appropriate for individual "beliefs"?

Let us critique this for just a moment.

All men have been created and endowed with the same basic human mental faculties: Intellect, Understanding, Thought, Determining, Etc have we not? Are we as a people mentally unable to conclude what our own personal beliefs should be? As a human being you should be insulted that an individual would be pompous enough to "approve a belief" of UFOs. What's next? will he approve the belief of Jack and the Beanstalk?

Let us get to the heart of the matter and talk hermeneutics for a moment.

Hermeneutics involves cultivating the ability to understand things from someone else's point of view. When an individual reads the Bible for instance, one would have to take the time and try to understand the mind of the writer from the timeframe or vantage point that the writer was inspired to write. Doing this would help the reader develop a more accurate understanding of what the writer is trying to say. In many religious circles hermeneutics is forbidden, individuals are not allowed to develop their own understanding, they must get their understanding from the individual leader. Evidently we as a people are not mentally capable of thinking for ourselves. Surprisingly, many people allow themselves to be virtually mindless when it comes to religious matters, and tragedy is often the result.

Consider the Fundamentalist Later Day Saints "church" in El Dorado Texas. 400 children were removed from the "Yearning for Zion" ranch and there now exists heated debate about polygamy and child sexual abuse. The problem stems from men and woman being duped to believe every word that came from the mouths of their leaders with no questions asked. The children are brainwashed to believe the same ideologies from their brainwashed parents. The results are bizarre behavior being accepted as normal amongst this particular group of people. Any person with common sense would agree that a 40 year old man marrying a 16 year old child is wrong. Yet in El Dorado the men at the "Yearning for Zion" ranch are really "yearning for more woman" both young and old.

People who fail to use their conscience and God given intellect are no better off than an animal, trained to be a "good boy" or bred to be a good meal. People have allowed society to shape and form their individual belief system, and this nonsense from the Vatican only typifies that fact from a religious stand point. Are we that dumb as a society that we need others to think for us! There was a slogan that said "Call Greyhound and Leave the Driving to us" now it is call the Politicians, Federal and Religious officials and leave the thinking to us.

I am really appalled at this absurdity, and the media will use "The Vatican's" validation to run more and more propaganda to keep mans mind wrapped up in cosmic affairs rather than earthly affairs. If you believe in Roswell that is fine, if you don't, that is fine as well, but the "Vatican's" seal of approval attaches a right or wrong stigma to the belief. If the "Vatican" believes then we all should believe, this is what his approval is really saying.

Personally I don't believe in the authority that the "Vatican" purportedly has anyway, he is a man just like the rest of us, and I don't need him to tell me what is on his approval list for beliefs to grant me the green light to believe it too. It only goes to show the true reprobate mind state of the Catholic Church. They have gone from Mary to Martians.

Any sober minded human should be offended.
